Post-conference

The conference was really great. Everyone from my department presented well. Well done Farai, Maps and Andile! We were all nervous since it was the first one but it went super. We all looked very intelligent-hehehe, I hope we sounded the same. Another conference is coming up in June. We want to try go to that one also. This time it'll be in Potchefstroom. Never been there before, it would be great to go there. Tomorrow the family is off to pick Minz up from the airport, yay for Minz!!! Have a great Easter, don't eat too many Easter eggs.

First conference

I leave for East London tomorrow morning for my first conference ever! I hope it's fun. I'm presenting a paper titled 'The changing state of relations between SAMWU and government'. SAMWU is one of the largest municipal trade unions in South Africa. If all fails in life I'll become a trade unionist. I'll toyi-toyi all day, not! The conference promises to be fun and ends on Wednesday. There will be about 40 people presenting. I'll let you know how it goes and might bring some pics if I manage to take any.
